Production Plant Changes Underway
After only 2.5 years in our new location we are adding both space (1000 sq. feet) and equipment to our production plant.
New equipment coming on line in the next 30 days include:
A digital laser lab printer capable of printing 240 - 10"x30" PAN prints per our. That's almost 2000 prints per day.
A foil fusing system for invitation printing with pigmented and metallic foils and the addition of foil on ID Cards for 2008.
An automated digital controlled 32" stack paper cutter.
1650 sq. ft. of new cement floor coating.
We are constantly striving for improved quality and service through growth and reinvestment.
With these changes come job opportunities. We are actively seeking sales reps for our various divisions. Email calvin@abcharrell.com

Senior Portrait Deadlines - Final Appointments
As September comes to an end, final deadlines for your senior portrait are approaching fast. We have been taking senior portraits since the end of June.
Each school establishes the date by which the yearbook must have the final Image CD. Our final portrait date is then established as one month before the Image CD is due.
The final date that the school requires the Image CD may be changed and we may schedule additional portrait dates at your school, BUT DO NOT PLAN ON IT!
We recommend that you take your senior portrait at the earliest opportunity (immediately). Once the deadline hits...
As an option call our office and try to schedule your portrait at another school and we may be able to get you into your yearbook with some special arrangements.

What's New for ID Cards?
BIG pictures. Our newest ID Card design features the largest photo image in America. A full facial image measuring 1.75"x2.25". The benefit for the school is faster recognition from a greater distance.
This is just one part of our effort to assist the schools in their security and ID needs.
We are now testing our newest ID Card design featuring custom foil imprinting in select schools. The selected schools have agreed to be a part of this test program.
We expect to offer this option to all schools beginning in August 2008.

All ID Cards Delivered At Time of Photography
All students photographed during registration days received their personal ID Card on the spot and within minutes.
The preprinted registration envelope label with the student barcode as well as the staging of the students controlled the flow throughout the process at all schools for the fourth year in a row,

School Portraits Shipping in Record Time!
A new tracking and production system implemented by Dave our Operations Manager have resulted in 2007 school portrait packages beginning to ship only four days after photography. This is a remarkable change in our standard 15 day production cycle. We will monitor and reduce what we call our standard production timelines as the systems proves itself.

Senior Dates and Yearbook Deadline Info
Senior Portrait Dates for all schools are during the summer and usually during the months of September, October and sometimes November.
Your school's actual dates are established based on the yearbook deadline and other production requirements which we will receive from the school in September.
We encourage seniors to take their picture as early as possible as the senior year is always a very busy one in the life of a student. Bottom line: DO NOT PANIC. We will be back to your school for several series of appointments between now and your school's yearbook deadline.
Check back often for new dates for your school but get yours taken sooner rather than later. You'll be glad you did.

Giving Back is our Civic Duty
ABC will be a sponsor for the 2007 Kian Jordan Rose Charitable Fund Golf Tournament to be held July 30th at the Castlewood Country Club, Pleasanton, CA.
This Fund has been established to help provide resources for research into a cure for Hurler's Syndrome.

NEW! View Senior Portraits Online
We have big plans for the Class of 2008 and here's the first of many!
It was scheduled for the Class of '09, but we've decided to release online portrait viewing for this years seniors. The galleries are already live, and you can try it out right now by clicking the View Your Portraits Online link on our senior website.
To prevent just "anyone" from viewing "anyone's" portraits, we are requiring that you enter the reference code on your reciept to view the gallery. You can place ala-carte orders, and if you want to share your gallery with friends and family, simply give them your reference code.

Armijo High Official Photography Company
After meeting with the Activities Director, Mr. Burzynski and the Principal, Mr. Peters our company was selected as the new Official School Photography Company.
For the convenience of the seniors and their parents all seniors will be photographed at the school and outdoor/environmental portraits can be taken at the many beautiful locations in the immediate vicinity.
The portable senior portrait camera stations will be set up in the cafeteria during the July and August appointments.

Lowell senior appointments are open
We have just received data from the school allowing us to open appointments for June 17th, 18th, 19th, & 20th, and we will be sending out brochures today. However, students do not have to wait for a brochure to make an appointment. Our brochure is available for download within the senior section of our website.

New website launched
We've redesigned our School Portraits website to reflect the latest trends in visual design and website features. We've added more portrait samples, easier navigation, and a blog section to help us better communicate with our customers.
We've also Finally updated our logo, and removed the forwarding to ABC Harrell. If your wondering whats going to happen to abcharrell.com, don't worry, we've got big plans for that site.
